DEMOTTE AUXILIARY TO SEND TWO TO GIRLS’ STATE
DeMotte unit No. 440, American Legion Auxiliary has sponsored two high school Junior girls who wilf attend Girls State, plus a Poppy Poster contest in which art students of the DeMotte schools took part under the capable direction of Miss Mary E. Railing, art director of DeMotte high ’ school. The names of the winner and the awards made will be published at a later date. Service Sales Craft made by the disabled and hospitalized veterans will also be on display in conjunction with the bake sale to be held Saturday. Mrs. Inez Orsburn is chairman of the bake sale and the Auxiliary president, Mrs. Fred Boissey, will be in charge of the service sales.
