SAM FIELDHOUSE WINS SECOND PRIZE IN PURINA EGG LAYING CONTEST
Mr. Fieldhouse won second prize in a state wide egg laying contest sponsored by Ralston Purina Company, St. Louis, Mo. He won a 52 piece Wm. Rogers Silver Ware set for getting the following record out of his 1000 laying hens, for a ninty day period from December 1, 1948 to February 28, 1949: Total Eggs Said __x 62,875 Average Production 69.86% Average Feed Cost per dozen Eggs 19.19 c Average Feed Consumption per dozen eggs 4.67 lb. Average dozen eggs for 100 lb.
