4-H News PEOM YOUR COUNTY EXTENSION OFFICE

The Kniman Walker Township school, have organized a Girls 4H club with fourteen members enrolled. The name? Why the “Busy Fingers.” Officers were elected as follows: President, Jeannette Allen; Vice-president, Barbara Terpstra; secretary-treasurer, Marilyn Kaster; News Reporter, Beverly Pekech; Safety and Health, Norma Jean Bricker; Recreation, Linda Lou Green and song leader, Jeannette Rice, who also is the assistant leader, and leader is Mrs. Elmo Rice. The meetings are being held on the first and third Monday evenings until school is out, then will be held in the afternoon, a day which hasn’t been decided upon until next meeting. There have been two regular meetings held, one at the Leader’s home and one at Jeannette and Beverly Allen home. The next meeting will bfi at the Norma Bricker home on Tuesday, May 3, instead of Monday evening on account of a P.T.A. meeting. Reporter, Beverly Rekech. Hanging Grove The second girls 4-H club meeting of Hanging Grove township was held at the Hanging Grove school April the 25. At this meeting 4-H record books and material were past out. After the meeting was over, we played games. Hershey candy bars were refreshments. The next meeting will be held at Mrs. Dean Jordan’s May 14, at 2:00 CST. There were 9 girls present at this meeting.
