Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stowers entertained on Sunday Mr. and Mrs. George. Hanley and son, Tyrone of Kentland, Mr. Albert Rowen of Fair Oaks and Louis Stowers of Wheatfield. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Davis and daughters and Mr. and Mis. Daniel Rekeeh attended the Grange dance at Lowell Saturday night. The Jolly Club met with Mrs. John M. Middelkamp Tuesday afternoon with ten members present and one guest. Prizes were won by Mrs. Robert Kiersma, Mrs. Lester Holbrook, Mrs. Simon Greet and Mrs. Jake Martin. Mrs. Middelkamp won the x traveling prize and guest prize went to Mrs. Estol Meyers of Rensselaer. Twin Hills farm. ■ Mr. and Mrs. Rollin Halleck called at the Vaughn Green home one day last week. Mr. Halleck is Mr. Green’s vocational agriculture instructor. Mr. Avon Mackin of Chicago spent Wednesday and Thursday here with his mother, Mrs. Harriett Crowder*. Mrs. Crowder returned home with her son for a short visit. Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Peterson spent Friday in Hammond. Mrs. Floyd Allyn entertained the Home Economics club on Thursday afternoon. Fourteen members were present and three guests, Miss Bettie Patterson, Home Demonstration Agent, of Rensselaer, Mrs. Joseph O’Connor and Mrs. Floyd Richards of Wheatfield. Miss Patterson presented the lesson, “See Ourselves as others see us.” Mrs. Daniel Odle won the contest prize and Mrs. Wm. Bricker the hostess prize. Linda Stowers has the measles. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Filson attended a party in Chicago Friday evening in honor of Mr. Walter Wilson of Ballywalter, Ireland. Mr. Wilson is returning to his home land after spending three months in the States. Mrs. Vein Michal was on the sick list last week. N. H.
