Story of the Play Somewhere there may be a funnier ,a merrier, a more entertaining play than this madcap new farce by Bruce Abbott—but if there is, we haven’s heard about it. Can you imagine the laughs ir s a sjtuatipn where a young man pretends to be one of twins, and then, when he is called on to produce the non-existent twin, has to pretend there are two of him when there is really only one ? Well, that’s what happens to Will Warren, our young hero, and the ridiculous lengths he is forced to in order to make good his deception provide some of the most hilarious scenes ever written into a play. * - Will is a young pilot sent to Colesville by Allstate Airlines to find a site for an airfield. Now, the logical plot of land for this purpose is owned by Samuel Lewis; but Samuel is a tyrant with a fearful temper who hates planes and pilots and will have nothing to do with them. Will meets Julie Lewis, Samuel’s lovely young daughter, and they- are attracted to each other. Julie agrees to help Will get her father’s land, telling him they want it for a plant nursery; but just w r hen they are about to put his over, Will is recognized as a pilot by Samuel’s business acquaintance. Will tells Samuel it is a mistake; that it is his twin brother who is the pilot; Samuel, skeptical, says he will believe it w r hen he sees the tw r o of them together. From this point, complications—and laughs-—pile up thick and fast, and the momentum never slackens until the final uproarious climax is reached.
