NORTHERN INDIANA PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY ANNUAL SHAREHOLDERS MEETING

At the annual meeting of the shareholders held Wednesday, April 13, 1949, in the office of the Northern Indiana Public Service Company at Hammond, the following present directors of the Company were re-elected: Dean H. Mitchell and Edward D. Anderson, of Hammond, Clarence W. Bader of Gary, Jay Samuel Hartt of Chicago, Walter J. Riley of East Chicago, Phillip T. Sprague of Michigan City, and Walter W. Walb of Fort Wayne, Elected as directors for the first time were: Charles H. Albers of Chicago and W. A. McDonough of Hammond. Following tho shareholders’ meeting, the directors elected the following officers of the Company: Dean H. Mitchell, president; Edward D. Anderson, vice-presi-dent; Walter A. McDonough, vicepresident and controller; Fred E. Thacker, secretary and treasurer; Irving E. Fasan, assistant controller; and Edward M. Alt, assistant secretary and assistant treasurer. Mr. McDonough, the newly-elect-ed vice-president and controller,

has been an employe of the Company since 1922, and for the past ten years has served as controller and secretary. Mrs. Grace Betterton and sons of Hammond are spending the boy’s Spring school vacation with Mr. Sim Punter. Miss Helen Zeck of Michigan City spent the week-end with her parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Frame Jr. of Xenia, Ohio, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Struble of Gary visited over the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Frame Sr. in DeMotte. Mrs. Rene Grafola and sons of Oak Park, 111., visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Stevens last Friday. Mr. John Hission was in Chicago on business last Friday.
