Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hilliard and Mrs. Hilliard’s brother, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Herath of Detroit, Michigan, spent the week-end in Peoria, 111., visiting another brother, Clyde Herath and family. Women are smarter than men. If you don’t believe it ask a woman. Warren Myers is a patient at Memorial hospital in Valparaiso following an operation. Pat Clark is a hospital patient suffering from a fever. A mule is smarter than a horse and a burro is smarter than a mule. Wheatfield once had two bun-os, one owned by Allen Fendig and one by John Ocker. Fiank Jones is home after several months at Rockville Sanatorium. Henry Sampson has returned to California after attending to business affairs here. Ona Sampson is visiting her sister in Los Angeles. Clarence Keene has been apponted administi’ator of the Clara Smith Estate. A dining room in the aveiage home is a place to walk through to get from the kitchen to the living room. The Sew Club will meet with Olga Jensen Friday the Bth. The Baptists will have their meeting Friday evening at 7:30 p.m., at the Wayne Jones Restaurant room. Mr. and Mrs. James Hankins and children and Margaret Devine visited relatives at DeMotte and here last Thursday. Miles Devine has rented- the Ona Darneiv property on High St. Mr. and Mrs. Robert McGuire of Valparaiso visiting her sister, Sarah Blue Sunday. Bill Davis would appreciate some cards from his friends. He is getting along as well as expected with a bad broken leg.
