DEMOTTE, FAIR OAKS ENTERTAIN WHS
Fair Oaks and DeMotte both entertained the Wheatfield school with musical programs last week. These are two of the first of the Jasper county inter-school musical exchange programs. The Fair Oaks concert consisted of band instrumental and girls chorus numbers. The Fair Oaks girls chorus made up of eleven girls gave a very excellent performance. Most of the numbers of the DeMotte program were given by the girls and the mixed choruses. There were also some very excellent instrumental numbers among which a trombone solo by Dorothy Schoonveld was outstanding for a high school girl. It is a tribute to the DeMotte community that every girl in the high school is a member of the chorus. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. .Ely visited Mr. and Mrs. Frances K. Brown in Lombard, Illinois, Sunday.
