H. J. Reeder, Virgie Farmer, Dies Suddenly

Funeral Services To Be Held Sunday for 80-Year-Old Resident H. J. (Jack) Reeder, for almost fifty years a firmer in Jasper county, died suddenly shortly after midnight this morning of heart seizure, at his home near Virgie. Mr. Reeder was 80 years old, and apparently had been in good health. He had worked all day yesterday around his farm and upon retiring last night he did not complain of any ailment. Mr. Reeder was born at Clarksburg, West Virginia, April 15, 1868, the son of Isome and Elizabeth (Douglas) Reeder.. He was married to Loanna Reed April 18, 1889. The couple moved to Jasper county about 1900, eventually settling on a farm near Virgie. Surviving besides the widow, are three sons, Waitman and Isome of Frankfort, and Alvin of South Bend, and a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Ciemans of Chesterton. A sister, Mrs. Thomas Florence, died a few years ago. A farmer all his life, Air. Reeder was well-known throughout the county. His passing will be mourned by the. many who knew him. . Funeral services will be held from the W. J. Wright Chapel at -3 p.m., Sunday. Burial will be made -at Fair Oaks. . •
