Miss DeYoung Wed To Gerrit Musch
A beautiful marriage ceremony performed in a handsome church setting Tuesday night, March 8, at 8 o’clock united in marriage Miss Evelyn DeYoung, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.„ John DeYoung of DeMotte, and Gerrit Musch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Musch of Lake Village. The pretty single-ring candlelight service was read by the Rev. Frederick Dolphin, pastor of First Reforfned church of DeMotte where the wedding took place. The bride proceeded to the altar on the arm of her father followed by her attendant where they were met by the bridegroom and his attendant. During the processional Miss Delores DeVries, played “Because” and following the ceremony “I Love You Truly.” Miss DeYoung wore a white satin gown with bridal point
sleeves and cathedral train. Her veil was of finger-tip length. She carried red roses. Miss Violet DeYoung, sister of the bride, served as bridesmaid. She wore a blue chiffon dress. Yellow carnations made up her bouquet. Gerald Musch served as best man and the ushers were John Meyers and Glen DeYoung. . The altar was decorated with yellow flowers and lighted tapers. The bride’s mother was attired in a black dress and the mother of the bridegroom wore a Navy blue dress. White carnations formed their corsages. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church basement with one hundred in attendance. The wedding table was appointed in pink and white. Wedding cake, potato salad, sandwiches, ice cream and coffee were served. Mr. and Mrs. Musch are now at home on a farm near Hebron.
