Blue Cross Enrollments At Hospital

Applications Will Be Accepted At Local Hospital Until March 19 Mrs. Ruth Schumaker announced today that any individual wishing to enroll in the Blue CrossBlue Shield Plan may still do so. Blue Cross-Blue Shield applications are being accepted at the Jasper County Hospital until Saturday, March 19. Enrollment in this non-profit hospital and doctors Plan has met with great success and acceptance in this community. Enrollment through the two local banks ended officially last Saturday, March 12. It was found that quite a few people were unable to obtain, membership in the Plan before Saturday because of unforeseen circumstances. Mrs. Schumaker said that since the enrollment in the Blue Cross-Blue Shield Plan would not be made available to this community for at least a year, that she personally thought it only fair to attend the enrollment date for individual through this week. It was found, last week, that people of all ages and physical conditions availed themselves of this opportunity to protect themselves and their families against the unexpected and costly hospital and surgical bills. Mrs. Schumaker is appealing to everyone to give this matter theircareful thought and consideration and if they decide that they wish to enroll in the Blue Cross-Blue Plan to jplease do so before Saturday, March 19.
