BAND CONCERT, SUPPER, AT FAIR OAKS MARCH 18
The Fair Oaks and Patrons Club will observe its seventh anniversary, simultaneously celebrating Band Booster week, with an annual penny supper, March 18. The Band has progressed remarkably in the last seven years. Several new members have been added to the band this year. The serving of the supper will be from 5:30 to 8:00 o’clock, after which will be the following program: Band Liberty, Fleet, King. Coast Guards, King. Golden Glow Overature, Johnson. Girls Chorus Danny Boy, Irish Folk Song. Lullaby, Mozart. Loves Old Sweet Song, Molloy. Anvil Chorus, Verdi. Instrumental Solos Stardust, Baritone Horn, Ralph Murphy. My Wild Irish Rose, Nancy Schultz, Flute; Viana Cover, Clarinet; Phyllis Phares, Bell Lyre. Vilia, Melvin Murphy, Trumpet; Nancy Schultz, Flute. Carry Me Back To Old Virginia, Tom Cover, Trumpet. Nocturne, Melvin Murphy, Trumpet. Band Night Flight, King. March of Youth, Olivadoti. The evening will be concluded with a Euchre party starting at 9:00 o’clock.
AMERICAN LEGION NEWS
Regular meeting of the American Legion will be at the school house at 8 o’clock Monday evening, March 21. All members are urged to be present. Your cooperation is needed. Refreshments will be served. There will be a $5.00 door prize.—Jack Stellingwerf, Commander.

SCHOOL NEWS
The Inter-Class tourney was was won by the Junior boys. The girls basketball game was won by the Junior and Sophomore girls. Annual deposits are now being taken by Byrne Sekema, Verlin Schwankee, Kenndy Terpstra and Bill Unzicker. Deposits are SI.OO. Deloras DeVries, and Bea Streveler will be contestants on the Wheatfield amatuer show. Norma Streveler and Judith Kingma will also be contestants. On Wednesday night, March 16, the Dramatic club presented two short skits for the assembly. The fourth group play was “Harmony All Haba” players were Deloras DeVaries, Ruth Terborg, Joyce Jabasy and Joan McAndrew. The fifth group presented “Substitute Bride.” Players were Dorothy Borman, Ester Mannegna, Judith Kingma, Nettie Knip, Mary Peterson, Dorothy Shcoonveld and Joan Kaper. Marilyn Sauer announced both of the skits. On Tuesday, March 22, the Dramatic Club is to present two more skits. On March 22nd. Fair Oaks will entertain at DeMotte. On March 24th DeMotte mixed chorus will sing at Fair Oaks and Tefft.

Mr. and Mrs. “Bud” Belstra are the parents of a son, Timothy Keith, born at the Jasper county hospital, Wednesday, March 9. He weighed 10 lbs. The Belstra’s have pne other child, a daughter.

Miss Alice Moolenaar. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Moolenaar and Calvin Swart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Swart have been named for the Hope College Dean’s list. This comprises those students who have made high scholastic grades in all subjects during the previous semester. Mr. Jess Summers spent a few days last week at Columbus, Indiana. While there he attended the funeral of a cousin.
