RED CROSS DRIVE BEGINS
The Red Cross means many different things to many different people. “I know the Red Cross —,” says the disaster victim whose home and means of livelihood were restored to him. “I know the Red Cross too . . ~” says the mother whose drowning child was saved. “And I . . .” says the bedridden veteran whose long, weary hours have been eased. “And I too . . .” says the lonely soldier stationed far 'from home . . . By whatever test applied; the Red Cross stands for mercy for all mankind. When disaster strikes—whether it is near far, we all feel we want tq do something. If we have contributed through the Red Cross then we can be sure we are helping. There will be soliciting through the school. A film on the Work of the Red Cross, will be shown both to the students and to the PTA meeting on March Bth. A canvass will be made of the business places. Those of you who do not contribute through these channels may mail your money to me or contact me personally. Thank you for your cooperation.—Mrs. Gerald Curtin, Township chairman.
