The sectional was a big success. Rensselaer won the sectional. Thursday night DeMotte won over Tefft 44-20. Brook won over Fair Oi&s, Remington over Morocco Friday afternoon. Wheatfield over Kentland and Goodland over Mt. Ayr. Friday night Rensselaer over DeMotte, Remington over Brook Saturday afternoon Wheatfield over Goodland and Rensselaer over Remington. William Unzicker and, Russel Hunter attended a contest sponsored by the Rensselaer Rotary Club. First prize was a suit of clothes awarded to William Unsicker. DeMotte High School is very proud to have a great orator in the school. But the people who are the most proud are the Senior of whom Bil is one. Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Big news in the breeze. The Seniors are sponsoring an inter class tourney. It is to be given Wednesday, March 19, and Friday, March 11. The boys are playing Wednesday night. But Fridey night is the great attraction. The girls will play the first game, Senior and Freshmen girls against Junior, and Sophomore girls. The games will start around 7:15 p.m. Remember to be sure and keep these dates open. This is to be the biggest hit of the year. There is to be a beautiful token of remembrance given to the winners of the tourney. Remember those dates Wednesday, March 9 and Friday March 11. Bring your friends. Refreshments will be sold at all games. On March 24th the mixed chorus accompanied by Mr. Moolenaar will journey 'to Wheatfield to blend their sweet voices in song. The band is practicing new music.
