Junior 4-H Leaders Meet At Marion
Plans For 4-H Enrollment Week Of March 5-12 Made Wednesday Evening Forty-six Junior Leaders of Jasper County met February 23 at the Marion school. The Junior Leaders are 4-H members who are 15 years old and completed 3 years of 4-H work. The purpose of this organization is to assist the leaders in the 4-H program. Plans were made for the county 4-H enrollment to be taken during National 4-H Week, March 5 to 12th. At the divided sessions, continued discussion was carried by the boys in exhibit classes for dairy, sow and litter projects. An organization of a parent committee was discussed in the girls group. The purpose of this parent committee is to help strengthen 4-H in the county and assist local leaders in their work. Program books were distributed and committees were appointed for the April meeting. Keener township was in charge of the refreshments and Kankakee township conducted the recreation assisted by Dale Stath and Ralph Tlite of the Rural Youth Club.
Mrs. Paul Stangle has gone to Lafayette for a few days to help care for her new grandson.
Mr. Maurice Cheever was in Bloomington, Indiana, on business last Saturday.
Casper Belstra was in Indianapolis on business Monday and Tuesday of this week.
