KEENER HOME EC.

The Keener Home Economic Club met at the home -of Mrs. Gerald Curtin Friday, February 18. Nineteen members were present. The meeting was opened by giving the pledge to the flag. The program books were filled out for the coming year. The next meeting will be March 18th at the home of Mrs. Paul Stangle. The roll call was answered by giving an interesting item about either President Lincoln or Washington. Mrs. Sam Deßock gave the

first of the lesson on Laundry Equipment. Much interest was shown in this lesson. Part of the lesson was on the two kinds of washing machines, automatic and mechanical. The advantages and disadvantages of both kind were discussed. The lesson brought out the point that washing could be made easier than most people make it. Mrs. Vance Barker and Mrs. Maurice Cheever were winners of the two contests. Door prize was won by Mrs. Clarence Holladay.
