MR. BERT STEVENS HAS HOBBY
Young man about town, Mr. Bert Stevens, retired Bell Telephone Company executive, not being satisfied to just stop work and sit and enjoy life has found a hobby to occupy his time. Several weeks ago he became the owner of a pair of Hamsters, cute little animals, described in Webster’s dictionary as “a species of grain storing rat with two cheek pouches and a short tail.” These animals are small, multiply very rapidly and are % used as pets and purchased by laboratories for scientific experiments. Last week when we talked to Mr. Stevens his couple had grown "to five. Dr. and Mrs. Duvall have moved from their farm west of town to Mr. Pleasant, South "Carolina, where they have purchased a motor court. .
