Mr. and Mrs. Ted Biggs of Valpo., spent Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs, Lee Miller. Mrs. Biggs an 4 Mrs. Miller are sisters. Harry Stembel was a business caller in Rensselaer Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Junior East and Children and Mr. and Mrs. Jack East of East Gary spent the week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cilfford Kerns. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Whitehead of Michigan City and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Wilcox of Rensselaer visited the Fendigs on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nelson and Linda of Lake Village surprised bis mother,—Mrs. ; Martha Nelson on her birthday anniversary, Wednesday, February 9. Charles Roberts of Gary was a week-end guests at the Warren Myers home. Mrs. Bill Nuss spent the weekend in Hammond with her daughter, Helen. A fire Sunday afternoon destroyed a new home and contents one fourth mile south of No. 10 and one mile west of Korker’s Inn. ■■ 1 ■- Mr. and Mrs. Alva Jay met many of their friends and relatives Sunday, the 6th., being the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary. They received many presents and flowers. Coffee and cake were served the giiests. The Sew club met with Adelaide Blue, the 11th., and will meet with Mary Devine the 25th.
