Salvation Army To Hold Annual Drive

Only One Fund-Raising Drive Will Be Held Annually In County Only one fund-raising drive per year will be held in Jasper County for the Indiana division of The Salvation Army, it was stated today by Carl Wcksler, Indiana Field Representative of this humane organization which today operates in 97 countries of the world. Proceeds from the forthcoming campaign will be used by the Salvation Army to maintain its aid to the needy in oUr county and state. Part of the funds raised by volunteer workers in Jasper County will remain here, to provide emergency assistance to needy individuals, families , or communities in Jasper County. The sale of the Christmas edition of the “War Cry” magazine, and the one fund raising drive per year, are the only drives for The Salvation Army authorized by the divisional headquarters for Indiana, at Indianapolis. The public is asked not to give financial contributions to The Salvation Army at any other time. Give only when asked for your contribution by your neighbor, who is serving as a volunteer solicitor for The Salvation Army. The date of the Jasper County campaign, and names of solicitors, will be announced soon.
