SCHOOL NEWS

On Thursday, January 27, the student body of DeMotte school was entertained by the W.L.S. rangers, Jimmie James, Jeri Lee and Harry the Horse. Eddie Johnson of the Rangers sang to Delores DeVries. The program was also given that night with Eddie singing to Mrs Roy Jones of Wheatfield. The program was sponsored by DeKock Supply Company. On F'riday the 28th., DeMotte played Fair Oaks, winning with the score 37 to 31. On Tuesday, February Ist the junior high boys played basketball against Fair Oaks. We lost both games. On February 5 we played Tefft there. The game start at 7:30. On February Ist the potto contribution amounted to $27.75. That was collected in the morning from the school children. The Home Ec. girls are learning to knit. “Pearl one drop two, oh, oh, dropped a stitch.” The Science class has a new machine that magnifies pictures It is a great help to the students. Miss Rolling’s, the English and Art teacher, mother is ill. The faculty and student body wishes her mother a speedy recovery. We also wish to have Miss Rolling back with us as soon as possible.
