HOME EC. NEWS
The Keener Lome Economics Club met Friday, January 21st, at the home of Frances Zeck. Thirteen members and two visitors were present. The meeting was opened by singing “Auld Lang Syne.” Roll call was answered by naming your favorite soap. Roll call for February will be an historical event. The first leader’s training les-
son will be on washing equipment and will be given February 4th. Grace Cheever, Edna DeKock and Mabel Hunter will take the lesson. The meeting was then turned over to Miss Patterson, Keener Home Demonstration agent, whose subject was “See Yourself As Others See You.” Some of her points were: A person is not only judged by their clothes, good health is one of the main things
that make a person attractive. Good health is the foundation of good looks, sparkling eyes’, clear skin and glistening hair. Also good posture, and a pleasing personality are of the utmost importance. The contests for the day were won by Mabel Hunter and Ethel Cheever. The door prize was won by Norma Thorsen.
