Jet Aircraft Paint Test

A steel ball, dotted with paint and spinning in a centrifuge at 1,800 miles an hour, tells navy engineers how well the paint will stick on new jet aircraft. The ball reaches a speed of 2.4 million revolutions a minute in the test. When power i s cut off, it travels around for a week before coming to a dead stop.
