PLAN COMMUNITY XMAS

In view of the success and the job that was brought into the community by last year Xmas party the annual Community Xmas committee met this afternoon at Mary’s Restaurant to discuss plans for making this years party another grand occassion of the year. The committee meeting was made up of representatives of the Band Mothers, PTA, Home Ec. Club, Lions, Legion, and Auxiliary. The decision of the committee was to conduct, the program as nearly like last year as possible Santa giving the school children treats at the school party and the interested and more fortunate attending to bring canned goods, foodstuffs, money and perhaps some toys that thfeir own children had outgrown to be put into basbets and delivered to the homes of the less fortunate on Xmas eve to brighten their Holiday a lot more. This is a community project and the above organizations welcome the cooperation of everyone and especially in the turning in of names of families (especially those with children) that we, the community, can make their Xmas a little bit brighter.
