HARRIS SAMPSON INJURED
Mr. Harris Sampson, of North of DeMotte, was injured in the power take off of his tractor Monday of this week. He and the hired man were picking corn and the latter had gone to the cribs to unload, leaving Mr. Sampson by himself. When the accident occured he was able to pull himself away from the machine, but was minus hi’s clothing when he walked to the crib for aid. He was taken to the hospital in Rensselaer for treatment. X-ray revealed a couple of cracked neck bones, which makes it necessary for him to wear a neck brace for the next few weeks. He is also suffering from severe body bruises and shock. He was able to return to his home to recuperate. Grace and Tena Cheever were Gary shoppers last Tuesday.
