Mrs. Elizabeth Tanner and son, Dan, and Mrs. James Coberly were hosts to about forty DeMotte youngsters Saturday evening at a Hallowe’en party, which started in the Tanner’s back yard with a wiener roast. - Twelve pounds of wieners did the disappearing act after being cooked over the back yard fire. Two dishpans of pop corn, two cases of pop, marshmallows, dill pickles and dozens of home made decorated cookies were consumed. The back yard was decorated with jack-o-laterns. Games were played and songs sang. The weather man was not very co-operative since he sent an early evening rain which spoiled the , out door fun and drove the children and their hosts inside.
