Chicago, Nov. 5. A 19 year old farm boy registered the first entry receive d from Jasper county today for the 49th International Live Stock Exposition and Horse Show, scheduled here November 27 through December 4th in the Chicago Stock Yard. Merle Branson, 19 years old, of Rensselaer, will exhibit a Hereford calf in the Junior Livestock Feeding Contest of the
show, officials announce. The Junior Livestock Feeding Contest, for farm boys and girls who yearly feed and fit merely 1500 head of steers, lambs and barows for exhibition at the International, .is scheduled for Saturday, opening day for the show. Top winners in the Junior contest may then go on and compete in the open classes with adult livestock feeders. Boys or girls have produced a number of show grand champions in past
years, and last year the grand champion steer and grand champion barrow were won by an Oklahoma farm boy and an Illinois farm girl, respectively. Entries in the live stock classes of the show, except carlots close November 1, carlots close November 20, and entries for the International Grain and Hay Show close November 10.
