WE WANT VOTERS

We want voters November 2 is the appeal The American Legion is broadcasting to all the citizens in Indiana. All posts in the state have been asked to help get out the vote on election day. There is no doubt that subversive groups are working toward the downfall of our form of government. They are always active around election time. The objective of this subversive element is to prevent peace in Europe and tofsjnake the United States, Great Britain and France look bad before other nations. They will report back to their bosses in Russia that the most glaring weakness in our form of government is the failure of our citizens to exercise their privilege of voting . On November 2, we are going tb elect over 750 county officers, 126 state legislators, beside a Governor and other important state officers; also, 11 Congressmen, who, with two Indiana Senators, will be our representa-

tives in Congress. The State Bonj‘us will be an issue of special interest to all the veterans. No good citizen of Hoosierland will fail to go to the polls and vot® for the candidate of his choice. Lyle and Lynn Kessinger, sons of Mr. and ;Mrs. Marron Kessinger and David, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bauman all had their tonsils removed at the Jasper county hospital Saturday evening. The boys are home and about able to return to their regular activities. Mrs. Florence Story atteded the annual Navy Day luncheon in Gary Wedensday, given by the Gary Navy Mothers, of which she is an active member. Miss Joyce Swing of Rensselaer ! spent Thursday and Friday with her cousins, Lyle and Lynn Kessi mger. Mrs. Vernie Chappell and Grace Cheever attended the Eastern Star at Hebron Tuesday evening.
