BOY SCOUTS ON CAMPING TRIP

Some DeMotte Boy Scouts are taking advantage of the vacation offered by the Teachers’ Association and are planning a genuine camping trip. A group of scouts under the supervision of Tony Fase, Scout Committeeman, and Jim Coffer, Patrol Leader, are leaving Friday morning for a three day outing at the 2700 acre wooded estate near Mooresville which belongs to the Indianapolis Boy Scouts. In anticipation of the event, scouts are scurrying around collecting tents, sleeping bags, blankets, pots and pans, and food which they expect to use while there. The boys are planning to “rough it” until Sunday afternoon when they will return to DeMotte. Scouts accompanying Mr. Fase and Jim are: Bob Coffer, Ernest Swart, Bob Fase, Bob Nuss, Art Story, Dick Van Meerten, George Coberly, Bob Peterson, Tommy Abring, John Hartley, and Jack Swart.
