ATTEND STATE BROILER GROWERS ASSOCIATION

' Representing Northern Jasper County in a big way poultry raisers and personnel from DeMotto Feed Sales & Service attended «the Monday and Tuesday session, of the —second meeting, of Indiana State Broiler Growers Ass’n in the Purdue Poultry Building. This Ass’n organized one year ago to become a department in the State Poultry Ass’n, having gradually grown into a major industry since 1930. Many interesting and informative points were brought out in the lectures and panel discussions, but the fact most obvious to our group was the ideal conditions and situation here in this area foT piol’.table broiler raising, with considerable cheap, marginal soil, our nearness to the best market in the world, and relative low cost feed due to high com production all around DeMotte. The opinion is that there is definitely a good future in raising broilers because one man with proper equipment, can raise 25,000 or more birds at one time, with a minimum of building space and acreage. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Holz of V heatfield, Mrs. Mary Gilson and Mrs. Chester Gilson of Boone Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Todd of Rensselaer,. Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Tvsen. \\illiam Ely, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Belstra and Mr. George -Krajci of DeMotte.
