CROP Committee In High Gear

CROP steering committeemen met this morning and announced details concerning the Christian Rural Overseas Program, more popularly know as the “Hoosier Food Train.” The county grain gathering has already reached high gear, with shipments already being received and processed at the Co-Op elevator. Extraordinary achievement is reported in the Carpenter-Rem-ington area, where 100 per cent solicitation has become common. The Hoosier food train will be assembled in Indianapolis around Thanksgiving time. CROP chairmen, Arthur Arnott, Rev. Ellis Veale, Rev. Ralph Smith and T. M. Callahan said that a meeting of two representatives from each Rensselaer civic, fraternal and church organization would be held Monday evening in the Christian Church basement at 7:30. At this time CROP machinery for Rensselaer will be set up.
