North Union The North Union Neighborhood club met September 15 at the home of Mrs. Roy Long. There were 18 members and 3 visitors present and the names on the committee for Achievement Day were read. A reading on safety was given by Miss Etta Mellon. The lesson on Health was given by Mrs. Beth Zellers and Inez Walthers. The next meeting will be held October 20 with Mrs. Herbert Schultz and the lesson on “Table Seivice for Busy Families” will be given by Mrs. Ralph Rockwell and Mrs. Herbert Schultz. South Newton The South Newton Club met on Tuesday, September 21 at the home of Anna Osburn. Levea Miller and Leda Hamer assisted. The meeting opened by Mrs. Kelley reading the history of the song of the month. Gwendolyn Fleming gave a very interesting lesson on serving family meals. Edith Bryant conducted a review of the clubs work and planned for the next years study. Sharon Ames won the hostess prize. The next meeting will be held at the home of Vivian Ames, on Tuesday, October 19. South Union The South Uinon Home Economics club met on September 22 at the home of Mrs. Louis Shaw. The meeting was opened by the history of the song of the month, then the song was sung in unison. The pledge to the flag and creed was repeated. Roll call was answered by when to plant fall bulhs. The president announced that Achieveriient Day was to be Oct. 27. We spent the rest of the time in Program Planning. Mrs. Shaw then served delicious refreshments of Jcllo salad, cake and coffee. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Max Comer.
