Rates Set In Jasper County Budgets Show Even Division Between Increases, Declines The proposed tax rates contained in the sixteen Jasper county tax budgets which soon must face , the paring knives of local and j state bodies, show eight units are facing increases and a like number are slated for decreases. In some instances the increase, or decrease, is slight, in others of considerable proportions. Milroy in particular is jolted,' with a proposed advance of $1.24 over the current rate of SI.BO, making a proposed rate of $3.04. The tuition fund rate has been increased from 47c to $1 and the special school fund rate from 25c to sl, making a total of $1.28 for these two funds. Otherwise the budget shows a 4c decrease over the current rate.
