Mr. and Mrs. “Corky” Barker became the parents of a daughter, Sue Kay, born in Porter Memorial hospital in Valparaiso, Saturday morning, July 24. Miss Barker weighed 7 pounds at birth. Mrs. Barker is the former Margaret Asher of Hebron. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Emerson, formerly of DeMotte are the parents of a baby son, Gregory Michael, born July 15 in Hammond. He has a brother, Dennis James. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Lissau left Wednesday for their vacation. Thej 7 will go into northern Canada an 4 expect to be gone several weeks. Miss Mary Lou Ewart spent the week-end visiting at Muncie, Ind.
