TURN TO CHRIST! Sincg we answered the question, can we know God, affirmatively; the next step was a natural one, why deny God? We took note of the complete revelation God has gives in Christ. Therefore today we ask -you to think about this subject “Turn to Christ.’’ A great many people heed the statements of dying men as important, how much more should we take seriously the last w'ords of our Redeemer and Lord. He claimed to be one with God, who as son of God without sin would lay down his life for his friends. Are you his friend? His last words of comfort to a decaying world were expressions of good news for his disciples. The Holy Spirit would be sent as a guide to bless them and make them triumphant in their mission of serving Him. Christ was human and divine and presented the immovable unchangeable truth that He was ’born into a sin cursed world for you. He lives for you, He suffered for you, died on the cross for you, rose from the dead for you! Do you know that everything Jesus said and did, all that He endured was for you ? Or have you been so completely disinterested in your Saviour’s self sacrifice at calvary that you have never found time to read the story of ..it ’■ '.2 i ” ’’s *

His cpucification and earnestly ask yourself, what jdoes this mean ? If the American people would give half the time they spend reading murder serial reports, comic magazines and other degrading literature to that of the promises of the New Testament as found in Christ, how much different American families and homes would be! Turn to Christ! In England before the reformation. one of the abbeys displayed an unusual religious statue. If the worshipers placed a copper coin before the image, it frowned; a silver coin brought a nod of acknowledgment; but a gold coin caused the statute to smile; all through fraud and deceit! In turning to Christ, that which He has to offer for your soul costs nothing. He is no fraud! In Him there is no deceit! Salvation is not gained by trying to live a good life nor by doing many so called good works. Salvation is a gift which cannot be gained by your efforts but is to be personally received and taken from Him who alaone can cleanse and erase your sins. And if you have received His offer, Christ’s peace is yours! You will not desire to curse his name nor betray Him in your actions. Whether you are a believer or not, turn to Christ’.
