Former DeMotte Teacher Wed In Nev.

Miss Betty J. Gundy Of Fair Oaks Becomes Bride of Louis Mitchel Of Los Angeles Miss Betty J. Gundy, daughter of Mrs. Mildred M. Gundy of Fair Oaks, became the bride of Louis Mitchel of Los Angeles, California son of Mrs. Agnes Mitchel of Gary, Indiana. The simple and lovely ceremony was performed June 26 at 4 p.m. at the Hitching Post Wedding Manor at Los Vegas, Nevada. A recording of Mendellsohn’s Wedding March and the ceremony was made. The bride was attired in a white street-length dress and a white hat. She wore British tan accesories. Her corsage was formed of brillant red begonias. The bridegroom wore a dark blue business suit. After a few days in Los Vegas, the wedding couple returned to Los Angeles where the have an apartment at 2406 West 11th Street. Mrs. Mitchel has been employed by the Jasper County schools for the past four years as a teacher at DeMotte High School. Mr. Mitchel is a student at Woodbury College at Los Angeles where he is majoring in Business Administration. Mr. Mitchel will finish schools there and Mrs. Mitchel plans to teach in California.
