Thrills, excitement and fun for each and every one, young and old is assured August 5, 6 and 7 —right here in DeMotte—thats the program being planned for the bigger and better annual home coming. Members of the American Legion have been planning and working for many months for this year’s event, in order to present a good, clean, entertaining program that is sure to please and attract all ages. Entertainment will include several free acts, one featuring “Butch, the wonder dog in a clever routine of tricks.” There will be clowns and comedy acts. And if you have a strong heart and like breath taking excitment don’t fail to see “The Sky Larks,” a sensational high wire act. Fearless aerialists court death at every performance. Its the last word in high thrill acts. For rides there will be a tilt-a-whirl, ferris wheel, merry-go-round and special rides for the real small fry. Concessions of every kind for your enjoyment. A special tent will house the exhibits of the different merchants. The first day of the Homecoming there will be a Queen contest. The young lady chosen will preside over the entire three day program as queen.
