Wheatfield To Have Whoop And Holler Days

Street Fair To Be Presented July 22-23-24 By Gay North County Town With Legion Sponsoring .s Wheatfield town, gay northwest county hub, will be the Jasper county capital for three days running—July 22-23-24, when the citizens from there and many miles around will gather as guests of Wheatfield American Legion Post 406 as it stages a three-day street fair offering all the thrills and excitment of any entertainment mart. It will be a whangding thriller of good old deep summertime fun and frolics and Midway extravangaza of the neighborly sort which the whole world is invited. •It will start early each day and last late. Concession and rides in great number will sprawl through the town streets, making it handy for all to shop and have fun at one and the same time. Included in the panorama of entertainment will be free acts afternoon and evening daily. The free act platform will present among other attractions The Ranch Boys featuring Madeline in folk songs; a radio show presenting Madine, Bill, Claude and Harmony singing western ballads; “Clem,” “The Little Boy From the Mountains” in comedy versions of old time folk fiddling and mimicking songs of the hills, and Bill Long, “The Yodelin’ Ranch Boy.”
