Auditor H. R. Wood Goes 0 n Spending Spree With Spring Tax Money; Ciggie Tax Totals $50,885.41 County Auditor H. R. Wood tossed scads of money recklessly about today as he split the kitty resulting from the payment of your spring installment of taxes. The June distribution to the various corporations and county and .state funds amounted to $491,127.66. And added to the local collections is the natty sum of $5,855.41 received from the state department. The sum represents the county's share of the state cigarette tax. This money goes into the county highway fund to be used for the upkeep of the roads. Following is the break-down on the distribution to the townships, city of Rensselaer, school corporation, and towns.
