There will be a miscellaneous shower at the Kniman School, Friday evening, June 11 at 8:30 p.m. for the John E. Middelkamp family whose home was destroyed by fire recently. Everybody is invited to come. Each family is requested to bring either cookies or doughnuts for refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lehman and son of Chicago visited Sunday with the Pekeck family and
her parents, Mr. and Mrs.s M. Hanewich. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stowers attended the graduation of her neice, Barbara McFadden at .Barkley last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hanewich entertained Mr. and Mrs. Dick Lehman and sbn, Dickie of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pekech and family on Sunday. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Middelkamp were Mr. Rue McMurray and son and Miss Anna Hamilton of Chicago, Mr. and*Mrs. Harry Busselburg of Hebrbn, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Holbrook and family of Wheatfield and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wynkoop and family. N. H. Peterson was in Muskegon, Mich., Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. Herschel Louis Odle entered the Rensselaer hospital last Tuesday for medical attention. Mrs. Charles Bricker entertained the Jolly club on Tuesday afternoon with twelve members present and two guests. Prizes were won by Mrs. Andrew Allen, Mrs. Clarence Stowers, Mrs. Alex
Hanewich and Mrs. Estol Meyers. Traveling prize went to Mr. Carroll HanifOrd. Guest prizes to Mrs. Clifford Parkison and Mrs. Dan Pekech. The club will meet with Mrs. Haniford, June 8. Ellen Peterson attended the Memorial Service at Calumet Park cemetery. Free movies out of doors every Thursday evening in our little town. .. Our schools are closed for the summer vacation.
