Kankakee Twenty-two members were present at the May 11 meeting of the Kankakee Township Home Economies club, i Mrs. Sanders led the singing of the song of the month and the pledge and, creed were said in unison. All the members remembered to bring their Friendship Pennies. A report of the last leaders training meeting was given by Mrs. Jamieson and a discussion on Pressure Saucepans. Because of Mrs. Meyer’s illness the Saucepan demonstration will be given at the June Bth meeting. The social hour was prepared by game leaders, Mrs. Bertha Clawson and Mrs. Lou Jeffers and Hostess Mrs. Alfred Duggelby and Anna Rinehajtz. Keener Township The Keener Township Home Economics club met on May 21 at the home of Mrs. Ivan Cheever with 13 members present. The meeting opened by saying the pledge of allegiance to the Flag. The Home Economics Creed was
read by Mrs. Clyde Story. Mrs. Hunter gave the history of the song of the month and then it was sung by the group. The roll call w’as answered by giving “Vacation We would Like To Take.” An interesting lesson on Kitchen Time Savers and the Use and Care of Pressure Sauce Pan was given by Mrs. Otto DeYoung Jr. Prizes were won by Clyde Story, Russell Hunter, and the door prize by Mrs. John Feldhouse. A delicious lunch was served and the meeting adjourned to meet on June 18 at the home of Mrs. Maurice Cheever.
