Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ewart, Ruth Ann, Mrs. Hammerton and the Winfred Hammertons attended the Ball State Teacher’s college graduation exercises Tuesday, at Muncie, Indiana. Miss Mary Lou Ewart was a member of the graduating class. The graduating program was held on the campus lawn at five o’clock in the evening. Marie Intveld, Bernice Vander Ploeg, Ruth Moolenaar, Jennie Nannenga, Jim Fieldhouse and John Intveld spent Monday in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs, Fred Lane of Chicago and Miss Florence McKinnon and Donald Kinnon of Hammond visited Mrs. Neola True Monday. Mr. Wm. Ely spent Saturday and Sunday at Montpelier, Indiana, Visiting his brother and family, the Ralph Elys. Mrs. Mary Ward of there returned home with him to spend a few weeks with them. She is Mrs. Ely’s Mother. Among those attending the races at South Bend Monday were Kathleen Sauers, LaVerne Evers, Steve Terpstra, Howard Hoffman, Verliri Schwanke, Berne Sekema, Harold Nuss, the Kelly boys, Marilyn Sauers, Junior Tysen, Audrey (Jriswell, Arnold and Dennis Swart and George Roorda. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Roorda and family visited in Mishawaka and South Bend over the holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Mosier ©f Hebron visited his parents in DeMotte Monday. Mrs. Sam Suffern left Sunday for an extended visit with her son the Rev. and Mrs. George Suffern and family at Ft. Worth, Texas Mrs. Gene Prochno of Valparaiso visited her parents, the Robert Wrights, in DeMotte over the week end. Mr. arid Mrs. Gerald Curtin. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Evans, George Konovsky, John Black, Don Chappell and Mildred Black, Mr. and Mrs. John Eakin, Cal Ewart and Art Lageveen attended the auto races at Indianapolis Monday. Mr. and Bruce Stucker and son, Larry spent Monday and Tuesday in South Bend visiting relatives. Mr. John Hission was in Bloomington, Indiana Tuesday on business. The Women’s Society of the Christian Service will be held June 10th at the Methodist church. Mrs. Beulah Hission will have the lesson for the day. Little Jerry Ramp is visiting his apnt and uncle in Chicago this week.
