New Units Being Organized Almost Daily Creates Heavy De- -- mand For “Brass,” Non-Coms With new units throughout Indiana being organized every day, the demand for non-commissioned, warrant and commissioned officers is great. Enlisting now puts you “In on the ground floor” for promotions. If you are a veteran, you can probably obtain the rank you ..held upon discharge. Equal advancement opportunities are open to non-veterans too! Your choice of the arm of service will depend on unit locations within your community. The new 38th Division is made up of Infantry, Air Force, Field Artillery, Anti-Aircraft, Armored, Ordnance, Quartermaster, and many other types of units. The local unit is a Heavy Weapons Company. The enlistment period is for three years for original enlistments, and one or three years for re-enlistments of former National Guardsmen. For two hours training and study each week and participation in the 15-day summer maneuvers at Camp Atterbury you will receive l/6th the annual full-time pay of the Regular Army soldier!
