Berdine Neely was a guest at Linda Greens home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wilmington and Marion were recent visitors at the Bricker home. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Allyn and Eddie, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. Homoky at Gary on Saturday evening. On Sunday the Allyn family visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Gochen at Rochester, Ind. The Vaughn Greens enjoyed supper at the Philip Valade home Sunday. Freddie Valade has had a bout with the measles but is much better at this writing. Freeman Gifford is spending a few days in the home of his son, Elton at Delp River. Eloise Thies went to Chicago Sunday to visit her aunt, Mrs. Wm. Huber. The Home Economics Club met at the home of Mrs. Joseph Jachim on Thursday of last week. Charley Current moved his family to Rensselaer on Friday. Mrs. Wm. Eieffer is remodeling her cottage. A supper was given at the school house on Monday evening in honor of the graduates. Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Peterson and their guests Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whittington spent Thursday in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Lucas recently purchased the grocery store' of Charley Current and started in business on Saturday. The Pupils of Mrs. Hazel Filson gave a piano reclta’ on Sunday afternoon. man, Barbara Schultz, Mary Ellen Crawford, Nancy Rice, Linda Green, Kay Bunning, Tommy Fritts, Sandra Jensen, James Fritts, Christine Jensen, Roberta Pettet, Nancy Schultz, Lincoln Metcalfe, Joan Jensen, Bob Bunning and Carolyn Sue Huntington. Mary Ellen Dionne of Hebron spent Wednesday until Friday afternoon with her sister, Mrs. Paul Nemith. A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Dan Odle Jr., Sunday. This is the first grand-daughter and great grand-daughter of the family. N. H. Peterson has returned from a visit with relatives in Georgia and Florida. His niece and husband, Mr. nd Mrs. Frank Whittington of Orlando returned with him for a visit here with Mr. and Mrs. Peterson. From here the Whittingtons will visit in Muskeyon, Mich., and Milwaukee, before returning to Orlando. Mr. Whittington is a building contractor in Florida. In honor of their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Peterson entertained the following at dinner on Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph O’Connor of Wheatfield, Mr. and Mrs. George Whitimire of Calumet City, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stokes, and Helen Williams all of Hammond. John E. Middlekamps suffered the loss of their home by fire last Wednesday.
