POPPY POSTER AWARDS
The Poppy posters displayed in the local store windows, were drawn J>y the DeMotte school children, under the supervision, of Miss Mary Rolling, Art director in the school this past term. Approximately fifty posters submitted the awards by the DeoMtte Unit No. 440 were: First prkw—in —class — three, $3.00, to Junior Tysen; First prize in class two, $2.00, Jack Fritts; First prize in class one, SI.OO. Luann Unzicker. DeMotte Unit’s president’s personal awards of SI.OO each went to Barbara Gorbet, Judith Kingma and Norman Streveler. Poppy Poster judges were Mrs. Harry Bierma and Mrs. Richard MyeiS. of Wheatfield. The posters were all good and therefore rather difficult to select. Correction National Poppy Poster award should have read SIOO.OO instead of $25.00 as printed n last_w.‘ek’s’ is-ue, . > ,
