DR. K. R. OCKERMANN TO LOCATE HERE

Dr. Kenneth R. Ockermann, son of Mrs. Ivan Carson of Rensselaer will arrive in DeMotte with his family, consisting of his wife and four children, two boys and two girls, about March Ist to begin the practice of medicine and surgery. At present DeMotte is without a doctor. Dr. Ockermann, 32, is a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and served as a Captain in the army’s medical branch during World War 2. He was in the European war theatre more than two years and was wounded during action near Paris, France. He was placed in a Paris military hospital and later was sent to a USA military base. Following his recovery he was discharged. For the past two years he has been associated with a doctor who has offices in five mining towns in the vicinity Bluefield, West Virginia. Dr. and Mrs. Ockermann visited here last week and were much impressed by the possibilities of DeMotte. He comes highly recommended and this* community is happy that ,he chose to locate here.
