Hunters Take Heavy Bag In One Month; Get l’aid For Their Pleasure —Fox and wolf hunting is not i only a pleasure for those who love winter sports afield, but it is a profitable pastime as well, a | checkup of -the county auditor’s records reveals. Since December 18th there has !- n filed with the auditor bounty claims in the sum of $918.05. That sum for the most part represents fox pelts, with a few wolves and crow eggs thrown in making up the balance. Fox pelts bring $lO, wolf pelts S2O. Crow eggs come at a nickel apiece. The fox and wolf hunting champion of Jasper county has not yeU be; n determined. The leader at this time may be Wright Armstrong who, not long ago had hit the cash register for S7O worth of fox pelts. Monon railroad conductors will shed the traditional blue serge single-breasted uniform worn for 50 years, for the new look a gray-blue double-breasted outfit, similar to a naval officer's uniform and matching the Monon’s new gray and red streamlined trains. The winter uniforms will be of wool serge and summer ones of tropical worsted. Enginemen and firemen also will get into new- uniforms. The system itself will buy the caps, buttons and badges and split the costs of the new uniforms with conductors and trainmen who usually have to pay all the cost. The new uniforms were designed by Raymond Loewy Associates of New York, designers of Monon’s new streamliners.
