PASTOR REFUSES MEDICAL AID, DIES

New Albany, Ind., Jan. 29.-—A 37-year-old Church of God pastor died today of diphtheria after refusing medical aid which he said was contrary to his religious belief. The Rev. Melvin Ramsey, New Albany, was found dying in his home by Dr. C. E. Briscoe, city health director, who was called to the home by neighbors. The- minister’s . widow, Mrs, Mary Ramsey, after hearing pleas of friends and neighbors, consented to the inoculation of herself and five children, ranging in age from 3 to 14.
