Mr. ahd Mrs. James Stonebraker, Jr., are the parents of Carol Sue. weight lbs, bom in LaPorte hospital on January 9th. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Van Gorkum have purchased 10 acres of land from Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Jasperson and are preparing to build their home. Mr. and Mrs. Jasperson still have 20 acres to sell. ' Frank Holland, Junior Lawrence and Merrill Robbins have returned from a ten day vacation in Tuscon, Arizona. A caretaker Stanislaus Kairis, at Dunns Bridge, where he was employed by city people for their summer cottage care was burned to death while out here there on Thursday when the home burned. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Doddrill have purchased a farm in Washington State where they now live. Wm. Jasperson is helping with some remodeling in the Chas Jasperson home. The Wheatfield Farm Bureau will meet on Wednesday evening in the school. Your correspondent received a

Springfield, Mass., Jan. ,21. Bulldozer driver Joseph A. Passineau, 50, of West Springfield was free of drunkenness and drunken driving charges today after a Superior court jury accepted his contention that he walked with an “occupational sway” rather than a “drunken stagger.”
