EX-WIFE ALSO SUES ERRANT LANDLORD

An ex-Indianapolis landlord, convicted of rent gouging on Dec. 4, 1946, faced new money troubles in Federal Court here yesterday. A civiL suit was filed against C. Conrad Hammond, 48 years old, Greencastle, by an ex-wife who charged he is $8,529.52 delinquent in support payments set out in a 1939 divorce decree. The former

Ruth Hammond, Minimi, Fla. ’ 'j- { 1 Hammond served a 90-day jail sentence beginning last July 7 on the federal Court conviction for OPA rent overcharges and a furhiture shle lease scheme. He also paid a S3OO fine. He told the court he was forced to pay out SI,OOO to make restitution to tenants.
