Two Purdue Experts On Crops and Farm Manage ment To Address Meeting Jasper County Crops and Farm Management Day is Tuesday, January 20th. Farmers will meet in the east court room in Rensselaer to hear two Purdue specialist discuss soil management, crop varieties, crop rotation, methods of apply fertilizers, equipment and methods of saving time and labor. The program as outlined by the committee begins promptly at 9:30 a.m. Ed Rose, Chairman Morning session. 9:30-Land Use Planning the Crop and Livestock Enterprises by R. W. Schoeff, Purdue Agricultural Economist. 10:30—Importance of adapted crop rotation. Amounts and placement of fertilizer, by M. O. Pence, Purdue Agronomist. 11:30 Noon. 1:00 Annual meeting of the Jasper county soil conservation district, Waldby Duggelby, secretary, Rollin Stewart, president. “Soil Conservation Program in Jasper County,” panel discussion. Four Jasper County Farmers. Larry Bassett, Soil Conservation Service in charge. Milton DeVries, Chairman Afternoon session. - 1:30 Nitrogen fertilizers and places for their profitable use.
